Through an integration with Zapier, Evergenius lets you connect almost any service with Zapier support to Evergenius. Despite the wide range of services you can connect from Zapier into Evergenius, the principles behind integration with Evergenius are the same.

Steps for Integration

Step 1. After logging into Zapier, click on 'Make A Zap'.

Step 2. The first thing you will see is the trigger step. Zaps are created with two components, a trigger and an action step. There can be multiple action steps but only one trigger, which is what initiates the zap. Here you can choose your service from the dropdown menu of hundreds of apps.

Step 3. Once you have selected your trigger app, you will be prompted to sign into the service and choose from a range of options. The list of options varies from service to service: you might be choosing a specific trigger in addition to a dropdown menu of specific ad campaigns, or forms from your lead generator.

For example, Clickfunnels users may see a list of triggers to choose from depending if their funnel is a sales funnel or an ad funnel. (Screenshot for reference puposes only - not representative of all services on Zapier)

To give another example, Mailchimp users may see a list of triggers based on new or updated list subscribers. (Screenshot for reference purposes only - other Zapier services are supported in addition to Clickfunnels and Mailchimp)

If you're not sure which option to choose, contact Evergenius support.

Step 4. You will then be required by Zapier to select a lead so that it knows what kind of information to look for whenever a new lead comes in - this is known as a sample. This means the form must be pre-filled and submitted beforehandso that Zapier is able to detect a lead to use for the action step.

Step 5. Once you have filled in the details for the trigger stage, you will be moved to the action stage. The steps below apply to all integrations with Evergenius from Zapier, regardless of trigger app.

Step 6. In the list of action apps, choose Webhooks and continue.

Step 7. Choose POST in the menu of options. Click Save + Continue.

Step 8. Fill the URL field with the following URL: https://app.evergenius.com/api/services/opportunity

In the dropdown menu for Payload Type, select Json

Step 9. In the Data field, there is a left side and a right side. The left side is for values and the right side is the data that correspond to those values. The values are required by Evergenius in order to map the data to your leads. The order in which the values are filled in do not matter.

For example, if you had a form that required a lead to fill in their name, you might put 'first_name' and 'last_name'. On the right side, click on the + symbol to select from the sample data that Zapier has gathered from the action stage (see Step 4) to locate the information that corresponds to the first_name and last_name fields.

The fields are optional except for one: company_name. This corresponds with the name of your account in Evergenius. This may or may not be the same as your business name, but rather the name that you filled in when creating an Evergenius account for the business. This must be exact to the character, including spaces and punctutation where necessary.

For data that does not correspond to any of the values, they can be submitted to Evergenius in the Notes section of the lead by using the field 'additional_info' on the left and adding the supplementary data on the right.

Here is an example of a completed data field (this is by no means an exhaustive list of values available for use).

For a list of values accepted by Zapier and Evergenius, click here.

Step 10. Once you have completed your data field, scroll down to the Headers field. On the left, enter 'app-key' (without quotation marks) and on the right, paste the following key: 846a06e4-14f6-4c42-ace2-af07046ed798. Leave all of the fields between the Headers field and the Data field as they are - they are unnecessary for Evergenius integrations. Click Continue.

Step 11. Click on Send Test to Webhooks by Zapier to initiate a test submission of the sample data you just filled in to Evergenius. Visit your Evergenius account to confirm the sample lead has been received.

Step 12. Back in Zapier, click Save, give your zap a name, and turn it on. It will begin capturing data as soon as they come in and automatically send them to Evergenius from now on.
